Cloud Computing is delivering more visibility throughout the supply chain and enabling collaboration between all trading partners in the network.
With the Supply Chain now being driven by massive amounts of data from disperse locations globally, how you store, manage, secure and share your data has never been more critical for effective Supply Chain Management.
As more organisations are choosing a cloud based model or considering transitioning their data to a Cloud Server key questions need to be considered when sourcing and engaging with a provider.
Due to EU Data Privacy Regulations the actual location of the Cloud Server can be a critical consideration. Where your data physically resides and secured is of paramount importance to the supply chain.
“Without a doubt, the emergence of cloud computing as a delivery model for IT Applications and Services is very exciting and promises to transform the supply chain and how all trading partners collaborate globally. “Your Supply Chain is Your Data Chain” and how you approach working with a Cloud Server is key to realising the full benefits of Cloud while complying with the complex Data Residency & Severeignty Regulations,” states John Connors, CEO of The Supply Chain Cloud.
